After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Eaglecrest, Cherry Creek was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Arapahoe Warriors 17-7. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won ten games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Paloma Heshmati made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in October of 2024.
In other batting news, Olivia McDermott was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run.
