Milton waltzed into their match on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the Johns Creek Gladiators by a score of 4-1. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Avery Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Elizabeth Wilkes, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bre Tyldesley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Milton's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Johns Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Milton will challenge Sequoyah at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Johns Creek, they will square off against Seckinger at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
