Council Grove won the last time they faced Mission Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Braves blew past the Vikings, posting a 41-0 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Braves just coasted through the last quarter.

Council Grove was led to victory by Reid Buttrey and Blaise French. Buttrey threw for 189 yards and three TDs, while French gained 130 total yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave French a new career-high in rushing yards (94). Another rusher making a difference was Bradley Doornbos, who rushed for 97 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries.

Council Grove pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.3 points over those games.
