Basketball Recap: Norte Vista Comes Up Short

Norte Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 57-13 defeat at the hands of the Murrieta Mesa Rams.

Murrieta Mesa had a senior duo take command as Jolie Hanna posted six points along with 11 steals and six boards and Janesa Johnson went 5 of 8 on her way to 11 points in addition to six boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave Hanna a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Neriah Asuega, who had 11 points and five rebounds.

Norte Vista's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Murrieta Mesa, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-10.

Norte Vista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 72-15 defeat against Patriot on the 7th. As for Murrieta Mesa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-50 win against Linfield Christian on the 3rd.
