Basketball Recap: Claysburg-Kimmel Victorious

Claysburg-Kimmel lost to Northern Bedford County back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Claysburg-Kimmel Bulldogs escaped with a win against the Northern Bedford County Panthers by the margin of a single free throw, 33-32.

Leading Claysburg-Kimmel to victory were Zailee Bush and Bailey Tipton. Bush posted 18 points along with seven boards and three steals, while Tipton put up nine points and eight rebounds. That's the most points Bush has posted since back in January of 2024.

Claysburg-Kimmel smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

Claysburg-Kimmel's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Northern Bedford County, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Claysburg-Kimmel won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Everett at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northern Bedford County, they will host Tussey Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
