Football Recap: St. John Comes Up Short

St. John lost against Hodgeman County back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers had to suffer through a 52-6 loss at the hands of the Longhorns. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-6.

It was another big night for Ian Reece, who rushed for 95 yards and two scores, and also threw for 29 yards and one TD for Hodgeman County. That's the most rushing yards Reece has posted since back in September of 2024. Talon Shank also helped with two touchdowns in total.

St. John's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Hodgeman County, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Coming up, St. John will challenge Victoria on Friday. As for Hodgeman County, they will face off against Stafford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
