Football Game Preview: Seneca Fighting Irish vs. St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans

The Seneca Fighting Irish will square off against the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seneca knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully St. Joseph-Ogden likes a good challenge.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Seneca against St. Bede as the squad secured a 48-16 victory. The Fighting Irish might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 32 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph-Ogden managed to keep up with Bloomington Central Catholic until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Spartans took a blow against the Saints, falling 67-28. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Seneca pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.0 points over those games. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
