Trabuco Hills won the last time they faced St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 29-20. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Trabuco Hills had a senior duo take command as Landon Pompey gained 185 total yards and Tristan Zale threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns. The Mustangs also got help from Joshua Fitch, who showed off his sure hands for 93 receiving yards.

Trabuco Hills' defense made their presence known, laying out Jassi Williams. three times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Andrew Ortiz.

St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Williams and Le'Allyn (AJ) Monroe. Williams threw for 156 yards and a pair of TDs, while Monroe rushed for 71 yards on only eight carries.

Trabuco Hills' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Trabuco Hills has already played their next game, a 56-14 defeat against El Toro on the 12th. As for St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 46-41 win against Newbury Park on the 12th.
