Football Recap: East Valley Red Devils vs. Ellensburg Bulldogs
East Valley won against Quincy last Friday with 61 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Red Devils didn't even let the Ellensburg Bulldogs on the board, marking the Red Devils' second-straight 61-0 shutout. Considering the Red Devils have won eight games by more than 22 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Jaxon Berg was his usual excellent self, throwing for 324 yards and eight TDs while picking up 13.5 yards per attempt. Those eight passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Cody Gasseling also helped out as he racked up 100 receiving yards.
East Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Garen Chapman and Joshua Walruff. Chapman got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
