Soccer Game Preview: Hamilton vs. Venice

Hamilton is 0-8-2 against Venice since January of 2020 but things could change on Wednesday. The Hamilton Yankees will look to defend their home pitch against the Venice Gondoliers at 2:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Hamilton turned things around against Los Angeles CES on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Unicorns a 2-0 shutout.

Skye Walker was the driving force of Hamilton's attack as she scored both of Hamilton's goals, bringing her season total up to five goals.

Meanwhile, Venice made easy work of Fairfax on Wednesday and carried off a 4-0 victory. The Gondoliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by three goals or more this season.

Hamilton's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-8. As for Venice, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2-3.
