Mid Valley skates past Forest City with ease

The Mid Valley Spartans can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They claimed a resounding 52-12 win over Forest City at home. The team accrued 45 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
It was another big night for Krista Cortazar, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Emilee Tomsak was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
The victory (which was Mid Valley's third in a row) raised their record to 7-5. As for Forest City, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mid Valley will challenge Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forest City won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mountain View at 1:15 p.m. on January 13th. The timing is sure in Mountain View's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Forest City has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
