Basketball Recap: Deer Lakes Finds Home Court Redemption Against Ligonier Valley

There's no place like home for Deer Lakes, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They strolled past the Ligonier Valley Rams with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 36-19. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 39-24 back in January.

Despite the loss, Ligonier Valley still got an impressive performance from Sydnee Foust, who posted eight points in addition to 15 boards and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Foust a new career-high in blocks (three).

Deer Lakes' record now sits at 11-5. As for Ligonier Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Deer Lakes didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 71-31 defeat against Shady Side Academy on the 30th. Ligonier Valley has also already played their next game, a 66-57 loss against Derry on the 28th.
