Basketball Recap: East Gaston Comes Up Short + How To Watch

East Gaston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Mountain Island Charter Raptors and fell 57-18.

Kayla Maiers was East Gaston's leading scorer, having posted five points.

Mountain Island Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aubrey Brown led the charge by putting up 11 points and five assists. Those five assists gave Brown a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lucy Cook, who posted nine points.

East Gaston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. East Gaston will head out to challenge Chase at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mountain Island Charter, they will venture away from home to square off against North Hills Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
