Softball Recap: Putnam City North Comes Up Short

Putnam City North fell victim to Dewey and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Bulldoggers, falling 7-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 4-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

This is the second loss in a row for Putnam City North and nudges their season record down to 1-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 3-1 Claremore (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 77.5% over those games). As for Dewey, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Putnam City North has already played their next game, a 4-0 loss against Jenks on the 16th. As for Dewey, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Claremore on the 16th.
