Mira Monte suffers fourth straight loss on the road

Recap: Mira Monte Lions vs. Bishop Union Broncos

The Mira Monte Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 44-17 loss at the hands of Bishop Union. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mira Monte has scored all season.

Leading Bishop Union to victory were Kristin Allen and Henny Charley . Allen scored nine points along with five steals, while Charley scored 14 points along with six steals. That's the first time this season that Charley grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sienna Fuller , who scored four points along with four steals.

Mira Monte bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Bishop Union, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Mira Monte won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against San Bernardino at 2:30 p.m. on December 29th. San Bernardino presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mira Monte in California (San Bernardino is ranked 618th, while Mira Monte is ranked 1265th). Bishop Union and Kennedy will round out the year against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Kennedy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
