The St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings will venture away from home to face off against the Jordan Red Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Anne-Pacelli is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
St. Anne-Pacelli gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They skirted past Columbus 9-7.
Billy Smith tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Jaycob Veloz was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Jihran Gomilla also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
St. Anne-Pacelli always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Columbus only posted an OBP of .382.
Meanwhile, Jordan entered their tilt with Spencer on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by a 13-1 margin over the Greenwave. Considering the Red Jackets have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Brody Catlin made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chase Scott, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. John Dollar was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
St. Anne-Pacelli's record now sits at 3-1. As for Jordan, their record now sits at 5-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. St. Anne-Pacelli has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Jordan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
