Recap: Sonora Wildcats vs. Amador Buffaloes

The Sonora Wildcats were the 30-25 winner over the Amador Buffaloes when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Sonora received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 47-28 to Amador. Sonora has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Sonora lost, one person who can't be blamed is Adeline Hanson. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Hanson scored a full 39.3% of Sonora's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Sonora's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Amador, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Sonora will be playing in front of their home fans against Bret Harte at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Amador won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ben Holt College Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 6th.
