Basketball Recap: Shadow Hills Now 15-1 over Last 16 Games

Shadow Hills had won six straight road games and Skylah Archer did her part to make it seven on Wednesday. The Shadow Hills Knights breezed by the Palm Desert Aztecs to the tune of 73-26 thanks in part to Archer, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 20 boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Several Aztecs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Katelyn Gallagher, who posted eight points and five steals. Gallagher is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 40 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Ava Tethal, who scored eight points.

Shadow Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Palm Desert, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-8.

Shadow Hills has already played their next contest, a 39-38 loss against Redondo Union on the 1st. As for Palm Desert, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-48 win against Twentynine Palms on the 31st.
