Cony came out on top against Belfast on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Rams' pitchers stepped up to hand the Lions a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won eight matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Cony's third in a row) raised their record to 9-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Belfast, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.

Cony will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Erskine Academy at 4:00 p.m. As for Belfast, they will head out to challenge Waterville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
