Soccer Recap: Holy Names Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Holy Names unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines on Tuesday. The Monarchs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

The win was the third in a row for San Francisco Waldorf, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Names will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Jewish Community at 4:00 p.m. on April 1st. As for San Francisco Waldorf, they will challenge Quarry Lane at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
