Baseball Recap: Everett Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

With a playoff win on the line, Everett rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Windber Ramblers 5-4. Five seems to be a good number for the Warriors as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Chase Sherwood was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Cornell, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

The victory (which was Everett's third in a row) raised their record to 18-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Windber, they moved to 16-7 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Everett nor the Ramblers have any future games scheduled.
