Soccer Recap: Westover Takes a Loss

Westover lost against Sumter County last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Westover Patriots came up short against the Sumter County Panthers, falling 9-1. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Charlie Martin, which was the first he's scored this season.

Westover now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Sumter County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Westover will face off against Cook at 7:00 p.m. on February 25th. As for Sumter County, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 5-0 victory against Dougherty on the 20th.
