Basketball Recap: Orange Glen Falls Short of Coastal Academy in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Orange Glen can now relate to. They fell to the Coastal Academy Stingrays 33-27. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Coastal Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addison Smith led the charge by putting up eight points. The dominant performance gave Smith a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Heiress Afalava, who posted nine points along with six boards and five assists.

Orange Glen's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Coastal Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Orange Glen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coastal Academy, they will challenge O'Farrell Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with O'Farrell Charter sitting on eight straight victories and Coastal Academy on three.
