Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian School of Griffin Takes a Loss

Trinity Christian School of Griffin came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 20-10 to the CrossPointe Christian Academy Cavaliers.

Jakyi Armstrong led a balanced group of hitters, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Greene, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, Trinity Christian School of Griffin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Trinity Christian School of Griffin dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for CrossPointe Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian School of Griffin will square off against Skipstone Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for CrossPointe Christian Academy, they will face off against Harvester Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Harvester Christian Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something CrossPointe Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
