Baseball Recap: St. Anne-Pacelli Triumphs

St. Anne-Pacelli won the last time they faced Stratford Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Vikings came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 4-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

St. Anne-Pacelli got a great performance from Austin Danison as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Danison also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Vikings are 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 7-10 otherwise.

At the plate, Connor Zittrauer was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. Braden Hudson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

St. Anne-Pacelli's record now sits at 9-11. As for Stratford Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Anne-Pacelli will face off against Chattahoochee County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Stratford Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against John Milledge Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
