Soccer Recap: Newton Takes a Loss

Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Gwinnett Comets. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 4-0 to the Comets when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Newton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for South Gwinnett, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Newton wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Archer on the 28th. As for South Gwinnett, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Grovetown on the 28th.
