Football Recap: Dallastown Comes Up Short

After soaring to 56 points the game before, Dallastown was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They had to suffer through a 63-7 loss at the hands of the Central York Panthers. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Dallastown lost, don't look at Christopher Cromartie. Despite the final result, he rushed for 107 yards on only 15 carries. Cromartie's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 102 rushing yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central York to victory, but perhaps none more so than Legend Johnson, who rushed for 123 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries. With that strong performance, Johnson is now averaging an impressive 100.8 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Nace, who threw for 194 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes.

Dallastown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Central York, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dallastown will square off against William Penn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Bearcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Central York, they will face off against Northeastern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Bobcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.17 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
