Basketball Recap: Olivia Fink Key Part of a Team Effort in Falcons Win

Coudersport won the last time they faced Austin and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Coudersport Falcons secured a 42-37 W over the Austin Panthers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Coudersport to victory, but perhaps none more so than Olivia Fink, who went 7 of 10 on her way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Macie Popchak, who posted seven points and 11 rebounds.

Coudersport smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in nine consecutive contests.

Coudersport has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Austin, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-3.

When Coudersport and Austin next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Coudersport will try to stop Otto-Eldred's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Austin will try to stop Port Allegany's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
