Soccer Game Preview: Clovis East vs. Buchanan

Clovis East is 1-8-1 against Buchanan since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Clovis East Timberwolves will head out on the road to challenge the Buchanan Bears at 4:00 p.m. Clovis East is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Clovis East's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Central by a score of 2-0. Given the Timberwolves' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 545th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in January, Buchanan was forced to settle for a draw on Friday. They and Clovis North finished up their game with a 0-0 draw.

Buchanan's draw makes their record 14-5-3 this season. As for Clovis East, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 8-5-5.

Clovis East might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from Buchanan in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can Clovis East avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
