Football Game Preview: Scott Beavers vs. Clay Center Tigers

The Scott Beavers are taking a road trip to take on the Clay Center Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Scott is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 48-16 win over Colby. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Beavers.

Meanwhile, Clay Center made easy work of Marysville on Friday and carried off a 33-7 victory. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

Clay Center's win came from a few key players Scott will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ethan Leitzel, who rushed for 119 yards and two scores on only 11 carries. Those 119 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Clay Center also got a significant boost from Jarrin Brumfield, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.

Clay Center was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 372 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 155 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Scott's record is now 5-2. As for Clay Center, their record now sits at 5-3.
