Recap: Gridley Bulldogs vs. Bear River Bruins
If the Gridley Bulldogs were feeling good off their 51-30 takedown of the Willows Honkers last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Gridley was dealt a 70-21 defeat at the hands of Bear River on Tuesday. Gridley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-11.
AnaGloria Luevano was Gridley's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Charity Archer took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Gridley's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bear River, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Gridley will be playing at home against Alhambra at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bear River, they will face off against Union Mine at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Union Mine focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 on Thursday.
