Soccer Game Preview: Hawkins vs. Jordan

The Hawkins Hawks will challenge the Jordan Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Hawkins will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Monday, then bounced right back against Crenshaw on Wednesday. The Hawks blew past the Cougars 10-5. Hawkins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Jordan kept a clean sheet against Dorsey on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Dons with a sharp 4-0 win. Even though Jordan got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Remy Orea was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Jordan hit Dorsey with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nicole Buenrostro, Sarah Bautista, Allison Mancia, and Jasmine Pancho.

Hawkins pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 41 goals over those six contests. As for Jordan, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7-1.

Hawkins got the 'W' in their previous matchup on January 14th against Jordan by a conclusive 8-0 score. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
