Basketball Recap: Long Beach Poly Extends Winning Streak to Five

Long Beach Poly entered their tilt with Jordan on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Jordan Panthers 45-25. With the Jackrabbits ahead 28-8 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Long Beach Poly was led to victory by Nevaeh Lemons and Joy Anderson. Lemons went 6 of 13 on her way to 15 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals, while Anderson dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. Lemons has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Amira Young, who posted three points along with five rebounds and three steals.
