Downers Grove South has gone a perfect 10-0 against Leyden recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Downers Grove South is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Downers Grove South is returning to their home field after beating Lyons on theirs, despite the fact Lyons has dominated at home this season. The Mustangs came out on top against the Lions by a score of 7-2 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Leyden came up short against Downers Grove North on Saturday and fell 5-1. The Eagles have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Leyden got a good showing from Elias Carrillo, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Carrillo has become a key player for the Eagles: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-11 otherwise.

Downers Grove South's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Leyden, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
