Recap: Valhalla Norsemen vs. El Capitan Vaqueros
After a string of four wins, the Valhalla Norsemen's's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a hard 58-42 fall against El Capitan. Valhalla has struggled against El Capitan recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Valhalla lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alexis Matos. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds. Alexandra Amaya was another key contributor, scoring 2 points along with 13 rebounds.
Valhalla's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for El Capitan, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Valhalla will head out on the road to face off against Mission Bay at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mission Bay will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 865th, while Valhalla is ranked 171st). As for El Capitan, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against University City at 6:30 p.m.
