Soccer Game Preview: Archbold vs. Bryan

Archbold is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Bryan is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Blue Streaks will welcome the Golden Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Archbold is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

Archbold will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Saturday, then bounced right back against Genoa Area on Tuesday. The Blue Streaks put the hurt on the Comets with a sharp 7-1 victory. Quinn Sauder was a massive factor in the win as he booted in five goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Bryan's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Elida. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Bryan's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Elida are ranked 340th).

Bryan's victory bumped their record up to 8-2-1. As for Archbold, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
