Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hiram). They never let the South Cobb Eagles get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory on Friday. The Hornets have beaten the Eagles the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.
Hiram got a massive performance out of Jacob Ramirez, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. What's more, Ramirez posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Carter Dennis, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
Hiram always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
Hiram's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
