Softball Recap: Freedom Christian Academy Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Freedom Christian Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Northwood Temple Academy Eagles. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 17-0 victory back in April.

Rylan Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over 4.1 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Genesis Lebron and Aubrey Multerer did most of the damage at the plate: Lebron went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double, while Multerer went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Melanie Multerer was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs.

Freedom Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .526 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Freedom Christian Academy's record now sits at 20-2. As for Northwood Temple Academy, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-4.

As of now, neither Freedom Christian Academy nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
