River Valley put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to the Marion Center Stingers for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-19 victory. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Stingers are ranked 93rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead River Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Persichetti, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. The match was Persichetti's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Maren Dunlap was another key player, going 5 of 8 on her way to 12 points and eight boards.

River Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in four consecutive games.

River Valley's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-0. As for Marion Center, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5.

River Valley will face off against West Shamokin at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Marion Center, they will challenge Homer-Center at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
