Softball Recap: Fairfield Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Fairfield won the last time they faced Mt. Pleasant and things went their way on Thursday too. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Panthers. Considering the Trojans have won six games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Fairfield's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-7. As for Mt. Pleasant, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Fairfield didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 win against Pekin on the 20th. As for Mt. Pleasant, they have also already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Wapello on the 21st.
