Baseball Recap: Oconomowoc Comes Up Short

Oconomowoc fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Whitefish Bay on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Blue Dukes by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Raccoons couldn't push the score so high this time.

Oconomowoc now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Whitefish Bay, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oconomowoc will take on New Berlin West at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitefish Bay, they will challenge Sun Prairie West at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.55 runs per game on average), something the Blue Dukes will no doubt try to take advantage of.
