George School is 6-1 against Academy of the New Church since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the George School Cougars challenge the Academy of the New Church Lions at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, George School ended up a good deal behind Morris Catholic and lost 68-51. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 267th in Pennsylvania, while the Crusaders are ranked first in New Jersey).

Meanwhile, Academy of the New Church was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt an 84-15 loss at the hands of Westtown. The match marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

George School has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Academy of the New Church, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

George School couldn't quite finish off Academy of the New Church when the teams last played back in January of 2024 and fell 46-43. Can George School avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
