Basketball Recap: Madison-Grant Comes Up Short

Madison-Grant lost against Mississinewa two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Madison-Grant Argylls took a blow against the Mississinewa Indians, falling 56-28. The Argylls just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Madison-Grant's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Wood, who posted eight points along with nine boards and five blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmyn Rainey, who put up six points.

Jaci Crick continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mississinewa, putting up 17 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Crick's morning made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Charleigh Baledge, who had 11 points and eight rebounds.

Madison-Grant's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Mississinewa, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Madison-Grant didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-51 loss against Eastbrook on the 4th. As for Mississinewa, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 42-23 defeat against Oak Hill on the 4th.
