Basketball Recap: Jefferson-Morgan Comes Up Short

Jefferson-Morgan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 42-32 to the Bentworth Bearcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 29-28 back in December of 2024.

Bentworth's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayla O'Dell, who posted 16 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bella Moyer, who had seven points along with six boards and six steals.

Jefferson-Morgan's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Bentworth, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-10.

Jefferson-Morgan has already played their next matchup, a 51-27 defeat against Bethlehem Center on the 27th. As for Bentworth, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-28 loss against Carmichaels on the 28th.
