Softball Recap: Holdenville Takes a Loss

Holdenville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Allen Mustangs. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Holdenville's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Allen, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holdenville will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Meeker at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Allen, they will challenge Quinton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Savages' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
