Softball Recap: Jenkins Warriors vs. Calvary Day Cavaliers

Jenkins extended their losing streak to eight on Thursday, dropping them down to 3-20. They lost 20-8 to the Calvary Day Cavaliers. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cavaliers earlier this season, when they won 32-24.

Ma'Kaiyah Gray made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Kayanna Moore was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Calvary Day's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-14. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

On Calvary Day's side, they got a massive performance out of Jaya Moore, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most hits Moore has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gracie Waller, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.
