            Basketball Recap: Brawley Wildcats vs. Imperial Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Brawley played a tough  matchup  on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were  outmatched by the Imperial Tigers and fell  69-19. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  48-11.
 When it comes to explaining why Brawley lost, don't look at  Ana Marin. Despite the final result, she  posted six points.
  Nayeli Cardona was  her usual excellent self,  going 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on her way to 30  points along with eight  boards and six  steals for Imperial. Cardona is  on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed three or more in the last ten games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Elynna Jimenez, who  put up 12 points in addition to eight  rebounds and three  blocks.
Brawley dropped their record down to 7-9 with the  loss, which was their fifth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Imperial, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won nine of their last 11 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record  this season.
 Brawley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  42-25  defeat against Vincent Memorial on the 9th. As for Imperial, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  52-39  loss against El Capitan on the 9th.
