Armijo's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They skirted past the Johnson Warriors 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Royals.

Natalie Barajas and Payton Long scored both of Armijo's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Armijo now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Johnson, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

After both having extra time off, Armijo and Valley will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Johnson, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Florin at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Johnson is facing Florin at the right time seeing as Florin is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
