Soccer Game Preview: Roosevelt vs. Linn-Mar

The Roosevelt Roughriders are taking a road trip to face off against the Linn-Mar Lions on Thursday. Roosevelt will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Three must be Roosevelt's lucky number: they beat St. Ansgar with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Roughriders came out on top against the Saints by a score of 3-1. That's two games straight that Roosevelt have won by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Linn-Mar kept a clean sheet against Des Moines North on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Polar Bears. The win made it back-to-back victories for Linn-Mar.

Roosevelt's win was their 15th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-0-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up seven goals over those 15 contests. As for Linn-Mar, the win got them back to even at 9-9-1.

Roosevelt couldn't quite get it done against Linn-Mar when the teams last played back in April of 2022 as they fell 3-1. Can the Roughriders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
