Football Recap: Hesston Piles Up the Points Against Hillsboro

Hesston won the last time they faced Hillsboro and things went their way on Friday too. The Swathers took their matchup with ease, bagging a 57-29 victory over the Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Swathers have posted against the Trojans since September 6, 2019.

Jerick Humphreys was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 71 yards and four scores, and also threw for 218 yards and one touchdown while completing 90% of his passes. Those 71 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Blayne Wilson, who rushed for 109 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 carries.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Max Phillips, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Hesston now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Hillsboro, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
